Eric Clapton’s vocal always have an incredibly relaxed feel, which make this a great reading excercise.  Just being able to read rhythms is not enough – you have to practice adding emotion and feel to your reading.  Make sure to also check out this classic groove laid down by the under appreciated drummer Jamie Oldaker.  Make sure to listen with some good headphones – he uses some subtle ghost notes that make it very hip (you can check out a basic transcription of the groove HERE).
