Solos/Fills Transcriptions

Much like groove transcribing, solo and fill transcribing can reveal subtlies that you would never have been aware of by listening alone.  It will also heighten your awareness of subtlies when listening to music, which will make it easier for you to copy solos/fills in the future without having to transcribe them.  While I will eventually upload all of my solo/fill transcriptions, I highly recommend checking out “Tribute to Big Sid” – a solo done by Max Roach which is a masterclass in melodic drumming and phrasing!
