Sight Reading

Once a student has reached a level of proficiency with either the Basic Reading Page or the Melody Rhythm Reading exercises, I have them sight read something at the beginning of each lesson to make sure they didn’t just memorize the aforementioned exercises.  Below are a few of the sight reading excerpts I use to test and sharpen their comprehension – no stickings are indicated to also test their ability to apply either natural or alternate sticking.
