Melodic Stick Control For Soloing
Even though as gigging drummers we spend over 90 percent of our time grooving, and less than 10 percent of our time soloing and playing fills, we still need to spend 50 percent of our practice time making sure that we sound musical during that 10 percent solo time. While Melodic Stick Control’s focus may be on providing a foundation for melodic and musical soloing, it also has exercises that will challenge your chops and lead to soloing that is both musical and impressive from a chops standpoint.
